Macs are nearly perfect but not free of flaws, a couple of weeks back I had this problem where my macbook pro from work refused to wakeup and doing anything to the track pad and keyboard didnt bring it back to life.
I searched all over the INTERNET, with no concrete solution until I came across this solution. A really simple of solution to a really annoying problem, especially when were planning to get some work.
The reason for the problem was the ribbon cable under the battery became loose/bent and that caused the keyboard/track pad to stop working. I really needed to get back to work so I took the quick fix of sticking in a post-it note to get going.
Thankfully IT confirms its under warranty and it will be sorted out, but this is really wired, my 3year old Acer Travelmate 2400 has had not even a single problem, ok the battery died but that was eventual, no hardware problems so far..
Anyway, I am still looking forward to getting a personal mac-book, despite of what happened to the Macbook Pro, its still worth it.
I have this problem for a long time now. Never foun this solution, I wanted to go to the mac store
to ask for an solution.
